libdevmapper-dev software package provides Linux Kernel Device Mapper header files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdevmapper-dev
libdevmapper-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdevmapper-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdevmapper-dev *
You will get with libdevmapper-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
